Conclusion

How a label design looks after printing depends upon the material quality used. You could use any type of paper for products that might not come in contact with water under normal circumstances, else the ink may fade. Using paper that is too thin for a label may also wash away easily. You can use laminated paper as a label for soap products, as these labels save the printer's ink from fading once it comes in contact of water, therefore the labels will remain on the product, even after they have regular contact with water. The point is good label designs are determined by good quality of material.
