It's natural that we sometimes feel bored in running a kind of profession. The things we do everyday has become like a 'template' for your life, and it's no longer a challenge in performing our job as a graphic designer.

4 Effective Ways for Graphic Designers to Kill the Boredom

On the other hand, we realize that we live as a designer, how could we leave and start a career in another field? Of course what we should do is eliminate the boredom, the following are some tips that maybe you can use when it starts to feel bored with your job as a graphic designer.

LETS GET OUT OF THE BOX!

4 Effective Ways for Graphic Designers to Kill the Boredom

1. Do other things besides designing

Close your Photoshop, keep your design 'to-do-list' away, and do something that has nothing to do with the design e.g. write blogs, read books, learn marketing techniques or follow the latest web technology news. Or you can also act as a third party, such as a project manager (only directs the designer to meet with clients). If you want extreme, run back to your old hobby, collecting lego, hunt for collectible action figures. Fitness, anyone?

2. See what fellow designers do

Note fellow designers, whether they're doing something interesting. See also their works through cyberspace, by doing so will give you new inspiration and also will motivate you to do things better. Occasionally you have to instill a sense of competition or you will unwittingly landed on a dangerous comfort zone!

3. Do experiment with new techniques

Do you curious on a design work? Or maybe you're thinking about how they could produce such a work? It's time to learn other people's work! By doing this you will discover a new technique which means a 'door' leading to endless experimentation. Eventually you will feel like new as well as master the tricks that once you can not. And of course a new skill!

4. Enjoy life

This method is the most fun at the same time difficult to be implemented, especially if we had worked independently of where you will feel that time will be wasted if you take a vacation, a movie, or a simple picnic to a park. But believe me, we really need this way, it not only makes us so relaxed but also a new inspiration that will come suddenly when we are outside looking at the big blue sky while feeling the wind grass.

Conclusion

so the point is indeed about the holidays and do not think anything about your design work, schedule a time for vacation once a year. One effective way is by booking a ticket in advance to get cheap tickets and will not be tempted to cancel it.

So, did you ever get bored living as a graphic designer? How do you overcome that?
