Efficiency is very important in every case. As creative beings, the productivity and quality must be a demand that must be met. One supporting factor is the efficiency in work. Efficiency in this case means the accuracy and appropriateness of producing a work with no wasted time and effort. Well, here are 3 simple tips that may help you be more efficient in design. Check it out!
1. Know the process
Each field in graphic design is unique. Layout, illustration, logo design, advertising, web design, print design and has a different process with each other. How to recognize the importance of each of these processes so that work efficiency can be achieved.
For instance, when you want to design a magazine cover cartoon illustrative style, then you will make the first illustration. In this case you can start by drawing a rough sketch to get the form, then continued to sketch the shape, coloring, shadowing and highlighting, to final finishing. This process can save much time and effort and also will usually produce a quality output.
2. Suitability Tool
At present, we know a lot of graphics applications that allow us to create a variety of graphical forms. Starting from the standard to the professional and commercial purpose intended. We were able to adjust the work required to use the application to be used.
For example, we want to design a web page. Adobe Illustrator has features that allow us to produce an attractive web page. However, because AI is not designed for it, then the process will be very complicated and takes a long time. The right choice still fell to Photoshop. Suitability of the sorting tool will help increase work efficiency.
3. organize files
This may be a simple thing, but important. As designers, we used to work in several stages, starting from the deal, revision, finishing, to delivery of final file. Without management of files and folders is good, we will be troubled by irregularity file. This will greatly disturb the work efficiency. Personal experience, I've spent some time looking for files on the client computer. Cause it was, they did not manage and rename files with regular and overly rely on memory. : D
