To design a brochure, it's certainly very good if the whole concept and idea came from your own mind, but sometimes we find it difficult to be able to pour the whole concept into an attractive form of brochure design, because not everyone is adept at executing. Here are some tips to consider in making brochure design


1. Content / Text

You can write the entire content of the materials to be delivered, but in this case, it can make your brochures look heavy, and a narrow seemed. But many are also designed to include only 30% of the content of the materials, then the reader will be directed to other media such as Web or telephone number to find out further information. Usually the role of design and image is crucial in making unique and beautiful brochures to look at.

2. Layout

Layout position is closely related to the shape, size and brochure content, whether text, images, and other design elements. With the placement of a predetermined direction, the content of the material will be perfectly arranged, and it will also be easier for you to modify the brochure.

3. Typography

The selection of fonts is very supportive of aesthetics / appearance of text from a brochure. But the thing to note is: do not use fonts which are hard to read, because it would deprive the readers. Fonts that quite interesting for you does not mean interesting to others, and of course you definitely do not want the readers missed some information in your brochure although fragmentary words, just because the fonts hard to read.

4. Picture

Picture (bitmap or vector type) are also very influential in supporting the elements of art in a brochure, so it will be easy on the eyes. Election brochure pictures should match with the theme of the brochure. Appropriate use of images and related information to be conveyed will be more pervasive in the hearts of readers. Suppose you are the owner of the hotel who want to create a brochure, you certainly would prefer the pictures that relate, eg hotel rooms, restaurants, and other facilities, rather than animal pictures.

5. Color

The right color can add more energy in your brochure, because each color has a different meaning and significance. So if possible choose the color according to the information you want to convey. Here are some of the color meaning:

Red: Power, energy, warmth, love, lust, aggression, danger.
Yellow: Optimistic, Hope.
Blue: Trust, Conservative, Security, Technology, Cleanliness, Regularity.
Green: Natural, Healthy, Lucky, Reform.
Orange: Energy, Balance, Warmth.
Purple / Orange: Spiritual, Mystery, Nobility, Transformation, arrogance.
Brown: Land / Earth, Confidence, Fun, Endurance.
Abu Abu: Intellect, Future (Millennium), Simplicity, Grief.
Black: Power, Sexuality, Sophistication, Death, Mystery, Fear, Grief, elegance.

6. Graphic design

The addition of an attractive touch of graphic design will make your brochures look interesting to see. The design is intended to give a touch to the reader, so it can attract you readers psychologically and emotionally. Well for this you must be clever in express your art both in paper or digital.

7. Materials

Determination of the type of paper materials for brochures can also determine the sale value of your brochure in the eyes of consumers. If you decide to use premium paper type, then it certainly will make more traction, so the brochure will be impressed elegant. 8. size

9. Varnish & Spot lamination

a. UV Varnishing

Ultra Violet (UV) Varnishing is a process for achieving an even more striking type of coating on your printed material. Requiring the use of special Ultraviolet drying machinery, a UV coating is like a deluxe version of the non-UV varnishes, with the varnish appearing noticeably richer and more luxurious.
A UV varnish can be applied as either an all-over coating, or as a spot varnish:

b. Gloss Varnishing

A gloss varnish is often used to enhance the appearance of printed photographs in brochures or flyers, as the coating reflects back the light and makes colours appear richer and more vivid. A gloss coating can add impact to your print, especially in sales or promotional material, where optimum presentation of images is paramount.

C. Matte Varnishing

A matte (or matt - the spellings are interchangeable) varnish gives the printed surface a non-glossy, smooth look. This type of seal is sometimes considered to ‘soften’ the appearance of a printed image. Small text in a leaflet or booklet is easier to read on a surface coated with matt vanish as the coating scatters the light, reducing glare.

D. Spot UV
Spot UV is just an exact spot where you would like your printed piece to have an area of Ultra-Violet Gloss Coating. Creating a piece with Spot UV will enhance your marketing piece immensely. To avoid delays, please send us your files flattened along with an extra file which graphically displays where the SPOT UV will be in 100% black, and white where there will be no gloss.

10. POND

If you want a custom brochure models with different accents such as: the addition of a hole, custom cutting: horizontal, vertical and other custom cutting, then you can use some of Pond kniffe models as a supporting medium. This can make a unique brochure.
